Peer Review Process

To maintain the highest standards of scholarly integrity and ensure the quality of every published article, Islamic Society and Education Nexus implements a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process. In this system, the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept confidential throughout the evaluation.

Initial Editorial Screening

Submissions are first evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief for scope alignment, adherence to author guidelines, and originality (plagiarism check via Turnitin). Manuscripts that do not meet the minimum requirements are desk-rejected.

Expert Peer Review

Qualified manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent external reviewers. Reviewers assess the work's innovation, methodological rigor, and its contribution to the nexus of Islamic values and digital society.

Revision Stage

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, authors may be asked to perform Minor or Major revisions. Revisions must be accompanied by a point-by-point response to the reviewers' comments.

Final Decision

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision (Accept, Revision Required, or Reject). Once accepted, the manuscript moves to copyediting and final production.

Review Timeline & Ethics

  • Average Review Time: 8–12 weeks.
  • Confidentiality: Reviewers are prohibited from using Generative AI tools to process manuscripts.
  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must declare any conflicts prior to accepting the review invitation.
